Message of the Provost, Boys Hostels

Welcome to Quaid-i-Azam University’s Boys Hostels. It gives me immense pleasure to see students from every corner of Pakistan living together as one community. Our hostels are home to young minds representing various provinces, cultures, and traditions – all united by the spirit of learning and brotherhood.

I understand that adjusting to hostel life, away from family and familiar surroundings, can sometimes be challenging. Please remember that these hostels are your home away from home. The administration, wardens, and staff are committed to ensuring that your stay remains comfortable, safe, and conducive to your academic and personal growth.

In recent times, we have faced difficult situations regarding allotments and discipline. I want to assure you that hostel policies will continue to be implemented transparently and fairly. At the same time, I urge every resident to respect diversity, avoid conflicts, and resolve matters through dialogue and cooperation. Misconduct, threats, or any form of indiscipline will not be tolerated.

Our foremost goal is to foster unity, inclusivity, and respect. Let us celebrate our differences as strengths, learn from one another, and build lifelong friendships. Together, we can create a hostel environment where every student feels valued, secure, and motivated to excel.

If you face any issue—academic, personal, or residential—please do not hesitate to reach out to your hostel staff, wardens, or directly to my office. We are here to support you.

Number of Boys Hostels With Seating Capacity

Quaid-i-Azam University has a total of 7 boys’ hostels: Hostel No. 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 11. Hostels 3 and 4 are designated for M.Phil and Ph.D. students, while Hostels 6, 7, 8, 9, and 11 accommodate BS students.

Facilities For Boarder Students

Accommodation Options

The boys’ hostels at Quaid-i-Azam University offer both single and shared occupancy rooms. All rooms are furnished with a bed, study table, chair, and cupboard to ensure students’ comfort and convenience.

Water and Internet Facilities

Students have access to clean drinking water and a regular water supply throughout the day. Additionally, Wi-Fi internet connectivity is available in both common areas and individual rooms.

Mess and Dining Services

Each hostel operates a well-maintained mess or canteen, providing affordable and hygienic meals. Students are served breakfast and dinner daily, promoting a balanced and nutritious diet.

Common Rooms and Leisure

To support relaxation and social interaction, hostels include common rooms equipped with a TV and ample space for gatherings and leisure activities.

Security and Surveillance

Security is a top priority at the hostels. 24/7 security guards are on duty, and CCTV cameras are installed at entry/exit points and in hostel corridors to ensure safety.

Religious Facilities

Each hostel has a mosque or designated prayer area to support students in their religious and spiritual practices.

Medical Assistance

On-campus medical assistance is readily available. The university’s medical center provides first aid and basic healthcare services to all hostel residents.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Hostels are maintained in a clean and orderly condition through daily cleaning of rooms, corridors, and bathrooms. A dedicated maintenance staff ensures hygiene and cleanliness at all times.
